Paneer & Fenugreek Seeds Curry - Black gram urad dal

Ingredients

  1. 100 gms. paneer cubes
  2. 3 tbsp. fenugreek seeds, soaked overnight
  3. 1 tbsp. oil
  4. 1 tsp. ginger, finely chopped
  5. 1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
  6. 1 tsp. green chilies, chopped
  7. 1/4 tsp. asafoetida
  8. to taste salt
  9. 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
  10. 1 tsp. coriander powder
  11. 1/2 tsp. garam masala powder
  12. 1/2 tsp. red chilli powder
  13. 1/2 cup yoghurt, beaten
  14. 1 tsp. coriander leaves, chopped
  15. URAD DAL

Steps

  1. Heat oil in a pan and temper with cumin seeds, asafoetida, ginger & green chilies. Saute for a few seconds.
     
     
  2. Add all the dry spices and give it a stir.
     
     
  3. Add the yoghurt, soaked fenugreek seeds
     
     
  4. And paneer. Simmer, stirring continuously for 2-3 minutes on a low flame.
     
     
  5. When done, switch off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves.
     
     
  6. Serve as a side dish with rice or chapatis.
