Paneer Kulfa Saag Stir Fry - Black gram urad dal

Ingredients

  1. 200 grams paneer cubes
  2. 1-2 bunches kulfa saag (purslane leaves)
  3. 1-2 tbsp. oil
  4. 1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
  5. 1/4 tsp. asafoetida
  6. 1 onion, chopped
  7. 1 tsp. garlic, chopped
  8. 1-2 green chilies, chopped
  9. 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
  10. 1/2 tsp. coriander powder
  11. 1/2 tsp. cumin powder
  12. 1/2 tsp. red chilli powder
  13. to taste salt
  14. 1/2 tsp. pani puri masala (opt)
  15. URAD DAL

Steps

  1. Heat 1 tbsp. oil in a pan & stir fry the paneer cubes till light brown. Drain and keep aside.
     
     
  2. Heat remaining oil & temper with cumin seeds & asafoetida.
     
     
  3. Then add the onion, garlic and green chilies. Stir fry till light brown.
     
     
  4. Now add all the dry spices and give it a stir.
     
     
  5. Add the chopped greens and cook, covered on a low flame till dry.
     
     
  6. Add the fried paneer & a sprinkle of some water. Saute for a minute. When done, add the pani puri masala and give it a toss.
     
     
  7. Serve as a side dish with either rice or chapati.
